Recurring Events

Sunday

10.15am - Praise Group Practise

An opportunity to join others in preparing for our worship hour. We pray together, practise the songs of praise and learn harmony parts for the tunes we use with a focus on a particular tune each week. We meet most weeks during the year but check the weekly notices.

Sunday Services (11.00am & 18.30pm)

Our services combine Scottish tradition with the relevance of Christian truth. Sunday morning worship usually consists of prayers, singing (the psalms - songs from the bible sung in beautiful a cappella harmony) and teaching from the bible given by the minister. There’s no dress code, and with a crèche and Sunday School, harried parents can relax in the service! There is a box in the entranceway for any contributions to the church, which are entirely voluntary, but we do not pass an offering plate round the congregation during the service. After the morning sermon, most folks adjourn to the downstairs hall for refreshments and chat. The evening service is similar to the morning, though with a slightly more informal style.

We have a great variety of people in the congregation (up to 150 on a Sunday morning). Lots of different ages, children, students, families, and individuals - old and young. Many different nationalities, people from a church background, and those with none, regulars and visitors. We have Sunday school during the service, and a youth fellowship after the evening service. On most Sundays, we either have meals in the church hall together or disperse to as many homes as are available and share food together there.

Wednesday

7.30pm - Prayer Meeting

On Wednesday evenings, we meet informally in the hall for a more hands-on approach to Christianity: after prayer, a Psalm, and a brief message, we usually split into groups to pray together. we have seem lots of exciting answers to prayer. We believe prayer to be the lifeblood of any Christian community.

House Groups

We meet in our House groups on the first Wednesday of each month.  Everyone in the congregation is allocated a Pastoral area (North, South, East and West), and the House Groups meet in these areas.  For more details of when these groups meet, please see the weekly bulletin sheet.
